Yesterday, on the 25th October 2014, Environmental and Social Change, supported by Youth With A Global Vision, and with the financial help of the European Commission, organised Romania Day in London.
Part of a broader campaign of breaking down stereotypes against migrant communities in London (the Romanian in this case), the event had a huge success. Close to 400 people came to the event and the feedback we had made the effort worthwhile.
We tried to show the real taste of Romania through: traditional food and music, traditional costumes, a human library with very interesting books, traditional crafts workshops (cross stitching, pottery and puppet making), traditional objects exhibition, an ethnic inspired clothing line and a photo exhibition.
We wanted to say a BIG thank you to everyone that joined us yesterday and to everyone that helped us to make Romania Day a success!
